Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! The staff have been working hard making sure your students have the best first week. All of the students have been working hard learning their new routines and reviewing expectations. The drop-off and pick-up line have been getting better everyday. The year is off to a great start!

I am so excited to have the halls filled with energy again. The start of a new school year presents fresh opportunities for discovery, curiosity, and connection. This year all four Dowagiac elementary schools are implementing a new reading curriculum to help our students be even more successful.

As always, collaboration and kindness are strongly encouraged. Open communication between school and home is key for student success. Every student has the potential for great achievements! We are all here to support our students every step. Let's make this the best year yet!

Reminders

ATTENDANCE: It is very important that students are in school everyday, but the school realizes that there are some reasons for excused absences. Please make sure to call the office and let us know when your student is going to be absent or the school will be calling you. When a student returns to school after any period of absence, please send a note stating the reason for the absences.
