Message from the Principal

Congratulations to all of our students, staff, and Sister Lakes Stakeholders: We were recently notified that we received an A on the Michigan Context and Performance Report Card for public elementary and middle schools. What does this mean? We've been identified as one of the top-performing 10 percent of public schools in the state of Michigan. Our state ranking for 2022-2024 school years was 53rd out of 2,188 schools! Awesome work! Building Highlights

Mrs. Seppala's 3rd grade class performed their selected poetry item on 5/21. The class also played "Hot Cross Buns" on records and recited "I'm filthy, I'm Dirty & Go, Go, Go to bed".

Miss Kruckeberg's 5th grade class earned water balloons to throw at her for improvement on NWEA test scores!!

Miss Serena is our health aide. She always is willing to help in anyway. Miss Serena is very creative and that shine through at our school. Unfortunately, today was her last day with us at Sister Lakes Elementary, and we wish her all the best of luck on her next adventure! Sister Lakes was lucky to have the time with did with Miss Serena!

ATTENDANCE: It is very important that students are in school everyday, but the school realizes that there are some reasons for excused absences. Make sure to call the school and let us know when your student is going to be absent or the school will be calling you. When a student returns to school after any period of absence, please send a note stating the reason for the absences.

*If your student(s) is running late, please bring them to the office and sign them in.

*If you need to pick up your child early for any reason please call the office 269-782-4468.

Given the increase in illnesses, this serves as a friendly reminder about the importance of proper handwashing.
