Dowagiac Girls Youth Basketball – In-Person Registration Only!

Calling all future Chieftains!

Dowagiac Girls Youth Basketball is holding in-person registration, grades 1st-6th, on the following dates:

Dec 10: 5-7pm

Dec 11: 5-7pm

Dec 17: 5-7pm

Dowagiac High School Lobby (outside of competition gym)

Registration is $35, and every player gets a team jersey!

BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS

Student of the Month - Cruz Hyatt

Mrs. Mack's 4th Grade class

Mrs. McIntyre's 4th grade class recognized Native American heritage month by reading a book called Fry Bread. One of the students in the class, Harper Swisher, made homemade fry bread for everyone with butter and cinnamon…it was so yummy!! The class talked about all the different Native American tribes in the state of Michigan. After that, the class wrote about our own traditional meals, and put them into a book. Mrs. Mack told the students about her stuffed cabbage rolls and Greek Dolmas. Thank you to Harper, Mrs. Siegal and Mrs. Hyatt for making this lesson a success! The kids enjoyed it!!

Patrick Hamilton Staff Spotlight of the Month

Ms. Sovine is Pat Ham's Staff of the Month. Currently in her third year of teaching, Ms. Sovine is adored by her students. One of the things that Ms. Sovine loves most about being a teacher is having conversations with her students - she loves hearing the funny things that they say! When she is out of school, Ms. Sovine enjoys doing her nails, sudoku puzzles, reading books and going shopping! We are thankful to have Ms. Sovine as a member of the Pat Ham Staff!
