Dear Pat Ham families!
It has been an exciting return from our winter break! Our staff and students were happy to return. I loved hearing "Happy New Year" throughout the hallways - though there were a few of our younger students who felt that they should have advanced a grade level with the "new year" and were a little bummed out.
We had our first whole school assembly on January 6th. Our students have not had that opportunity in at least six years! Ask your student about the assembly, we had a really fun 'minute to win it' competition and the cheering was intense! Pat Ham students definitely earned this opportunity! The assembly was planned and presented by our Positive Behavior Intervention System Committee. The staff members on this committee have worked diligently to make plans for monthly assemblies where we recognize and honor students who have earned HERO tickets and experience a little friendly competition. Below are a few pictures of the competition during the all school assembly.
We will be beginning our mid-year testing this week. If your student mentions testing- something I always say to ease the nerves is "do your best, don't stress"! That is all we can ask of our students.
It has been a good challenge returning to working with kids, I get so much energy from them - yet go home exhausted each evening. Thank you for your partnership - it is imperative to your students success.
Sincerely,
Kelly Gaideski, Interim Principal
