Reminders

HERO Expectations: Honesty, Earning and Giving Respect, Responsibility, and Orderly and Safe! Today we focused on being Orderly and Safe! Please discuss with your child how they can not only be orderly and safe at school, but in the community as well!

Attendance:Please remember the importance of attendance; attendance matters! Let's work on getting perfect attendance for the whole month of September!

8:48 am is the START of the school day

9:00 - 9:19 am is considered TARDY

Any time after 9:20 am is considered ABSENT

3:48 pm is the END of the school day

END OF DAY CALLS and PICK UPS: You must call the office by 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements for your student to go home a different way. This is a policy that we have had in place and unfortunately have to enforce. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

STUDENT COUNCIL: Any 3rd, 4th or 5th grade student interested in being part of Student Council mau pick up an application from MS. Ortiz's room on Friday, September 5th. All applications are due on Wednesday, September 10th.

Ms. Ortiz's class along with Mr. Suvarna's class worked together on a team building activity.  They were paired up in groups of 2 and had to work on "Saving Fred," the gummie worm, from sinking in the ocean by placing him in a lifesaver (gummie) vest.

Mrs. Tallis-Crowners 4th grade class participated in a science activity called "Saving Fred". It looks like they had lots of fun working in groups.
