Count Day: All students who arrive on time and stay the entire day of school on Wednesday, October 2nd will receive a FREE ticket to the Homecoming Football game!
Fundraiser Due Date: PTO sent home letters yesterday to clarify the due date for the Fall Fundraiser. All orders are due Friday, September 27th and Online orders are due by Sunday, September 29th.
Entering the Football Game: Just a reminder that no food or beverages will be allowed into the football stadium. Also, there are to be no backpacks or fanny packs carried into the stadium either.
HERO Expectations: Honesty, Earning and Giving Respect, Responsibility, and Orderly and Safe! Today we focused on being Orderly and Safe! Please discuss with your child how they can not only be orderly and safe at school, but in the community as well!
Attendance: Please remember the importance of attendance; attendance matters! Keep up the great work families as we have several students who have not missed a single day of school to date. Let's work on getting perfect attendance for the whole month of September!
END OF DAY CALLS and PICK UPS: You must call the office by 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements for your student to go home a different way. This is a policy that we have had in place and unfortunately have to enforce. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Mariela C., who is a 3rd grade, wore her traditional dress in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Mrs. McIntyre's class worked on group projects in celebration of Constitution Day on September 17th.
Our schools and the Dowagiac District Library have come together to encourage reading. Elementary students who attend the Adventures in Bookland Club (ages 6-8) and Inkwell Explorers Book Club (ages 9-12) will receive Hero Tickets they can use at their school's Hero Store.
Outside Lunches: The district does not allow outside lunches to be delivered or brought into school for the students.
Sick Children: Please call the office and report that you are keeping your child home due to illness. The Cass Van Buren Health Department requires school to report illnesses every week.
Transportation Changes: Please remember that any changes in busing transportation need to be made directly with the Transportation Department. You can reach them at 269-782-4482.
