PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: Thank you so much for attending our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences. We had a wonderful turnout. Thank you for doing your part/ of the Home-School Compact: We believe that high student achievement is a responsibility shared by school staff, parents, and students. Here’s a review of our responsibilities as parents and teachers when referring to our Justus Gage School-Family Compact
As a parent, I want my child to achieve. Therefore, I will encourage my child by:
Seeing that my child is on time and attends school each day
Sending my child to school healthy, well-rested and ready to learn
Reviewing my child’s homework and notes from school daily
Demonstrating the importance of education
Reviewing rules in the parent handbook with my child
Reports cards were sent home Thursday or today........

Please scroll down for more information about our PTO Fundraiser.
Building Goal for Reading Month: We are have way through Reading Month and our building goal for the end of the month is 100,000 minutes. After two weeks, our students have read a total of 54,613 minutes.
Carbonated/Caffeinated Pops/Energy Drinks: Thanks for working together in keeping our Justus Gage students healthy. Pop, caffeinated, and carbonated energy drinks are highly discouraged to be brought to school for breakfast, snack time and lunch. In reference to our Board Policy-8510-Wellness: The Board, however, believes this effort to support the students' development of healthy behaviors and habits with regard to eating and exercise cannot be accomplished by the schools alone. It will be necessary for not only the staff, but also parents and the public at large to be involved in a community-wide effort to promote, support, and model such healthy behaviors and habits. The district shall encourage students to increase their consumption of healthful foods during the school day. Furthermore, with the objectives of enhancing student health and well being, and reducing childhood obesity.
BOOK FAIR: Thank you to all of the families that visited the Book Fair. Purchasing a book is a wonderful way to promote reading and the month of March-National Reading Month.
Justus Gage Lost and Found: Our lost and found cart is overflowing and we set everything out for you to pick up during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill after school on Monday, March 17th.
