County Spelling Bee Info: Congratulations to our two Justus Gage students who participated in the county spelling bee. Fourth Grader, Carrisa Grant and Fifth Grader, Dafne Morales, were bother members of first place teams at the Heritage Southwest County Spelling Bee!!!!
Character Education Assembly: Our Justus Gage student body enjoyed their "Character Education" assembly this past Friday. This interactive assembly focused on these six very important words: citizenship, responsible, respectful, fair, caring and trustworthy. Many of these six words relate closely to our H. E. R. O. expectations. Please stress the importance with your student(s) of having "Good Character".
Dowagiac Resident FOOD PANTRY: The food pantry that is held at the Catholic Church (back parking lot entrance) is open to all Dowagiac residents. It is open the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 10:00 - 2:00.
END OF DAY CALLS and PICK UPS: You must call the office by 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements for your student to go home a different way. This is a policy that we have had in place and unfortunately have to enforce. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
OUTSIDE RECESS: Please dress your student appropriately for the cold weather. It is our district policy to go outside for recess unless the temp is below 10 degrees w/windchill.
BUS RIDER PARENTS: Please have your student(s) at the bus stop 5-10 minutes early so that our bus drivers can stay on schedule in order for our schools to start on time. Thank you for helping.
