END OF DAY CALLS and PICK UPS: You must call the office by 3:00 p.m. to make arrangements for your student to go home a different way. This is a policy that we have had in place and unfortunately have to enforce. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
BUS RIDER PARENTS: Please have your student(s) at the bus stop 5-10 minutes early so that our bus drivers can stay on schedule in order for our schools to start on time. Thank you for helping.
JUSTUS GAGE WINTER MUSIC PROGRAM: Our Kindergarten, First and Second graders will be performing at our annual winter music program on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Dowagiac Middle School. Mrs. Eckman has asked that you have your student arrive at DMS at 6:45 p.m. Kindergarten students will sit with their parents in the auditorium and be called up on stage when it is their time to perform. The first graders will meet their teachers in the Choir Room and the Second graders will meet their teachers in the Band Room. Special Chorus has been asked to meet Mrs. Eckman in the Cafeteria. The PTO will be having a Candy Gram Sale after the Program. Hope to see all of you there supporting the students that have worked so hard getting ready to perform!
TOYS FOR TOTS: We have applications for the Toys for Tots program in our office.
LITTLE CHIEFTAINS BASKETBALL (GIRLS PROGRAM): Registration for the Girls Dowagiac Youth Basketball League will be at Dowagiac Union High School on Monday, November 25, Tuesday, November 26 and again on Monday, December 2 from 6-7:00 p.m. Girls in grades 1 thru 5 are able to participate. Cost is $30.00. All registration and entry fees are due by December 6, 2024. This will be a 6 week program beginning the week of January 6, 2025. Our coaching staff encourages every elementary girl, regardless of skill level or experience to give our league a shot.
