Message from the Principal

We extend our gratitude to all who participated in the County Wide CTE Advisory Committee meetings held on November 12. Your input and continued support from industry partners, parent representatives, and student leadership teams are greatly appreciated. The Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities available at DUHS include programs in accounting, automotive technology, business, and construction trades.

Message from the District Nurse

Medication at school- No prescribed or over the counter medication is allowed at school without the written authorization form completed by the physician.

This includes but is not limited to prescribed medication, inhalers, epi-pens, cough drops, Tylenol, Motrin, and etc. The medication form can be found on our district website under the School Nurse section. Each building has these forms as well. If your child needs or uses any type of medication at school this form must be completed by the physician and submitted to the school with the medication. Students found with medication on him/her are subject to disciplinary actions. These medication forms must be completed for each school year.

Weekly Highlights

Rotary Interact Induction

Congratulations to those who were inducted into Rotary Interact. This club provides our young students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and make a difference in their community.

National Honor Society Induction

Congratulations to those who were inducted into the National Honor Society. These students were recognized for their excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

DUHS Esports Club

The DUHS Esports Club won the Southwest Michigan Esports Regular Season Title having an undefeated record. On Saturday, November 9th they competed in the SWMI Esports Tournament and competed in the finals. They were defeated by Fennville High School in a very close match ultimately losing in 5 games.

Construction Trades Class

The DUHS Construction Trades Class has appointed its student leadership team for the first semester. Under the guidance of construction trades teacher Adam Carr, this team will oversee the construction of DUHS's inaugural tiny house.

Biology Lab

Students conducted an experiment to demonstrate osmosis using gummy bears in their biology lab. They measured the mass and volume of the gummy bears both before and after soaking them in various solutions to calculate the changes that occurred.
