We appreciate your continued support at home—whether it’s helping with homework routines, attending school events, or simply asking your child about their day. It all matters!

7th Grade Math with Miss Bee

Now that iReady testing is finished we have continued in our Module 1 on Proportional Relationships. This week we found constants of proportionality and how they are represented in tables, graphs, and equations. By next week, we will wrap up our first Module and begin using our knowledge of proportional relationships and apply those concepts to Percent Problems in Module 2. Additionally, AleKs skill lessons are in full swing. Every week, your scholar is required to complete 10 skills by end of day Sunday. Below you will see what the homepage looks like for your student and some helpful information on how to use AleKs and navigate to completing 10 skills.

6th Grade Social Studies

This week students have examined characteristics of human geography discussing population distribution and density, cultural topics such as material and nonmaterial items, languages, music, sports, arts, and much more. Students also looked at varying economies across the globe understanding how our world is interconnected through trade. Specficially on Wednesday we paused our normal lesson to recognize Constitution Day - students learned about the purpose of the Consitution, who was involved, and what it covers. Specifically focusing on the Bill of Rights understanding the rights of people along with some of the things the government can and cannot do.

7th Grade Life Science Update

In 7th Grade Life Science, students have been diving into the fascinating world of cells. They’ve been learning about the structure of different types of cells as well as important processes such as respiration, osmosis, and diffusion. To bring their learning to life, students recently completed their very first project of the school year — the 3D Cell Project. Each student chose whether to design a plant cell or an animal cell, and then used their creativity to build the project out of any materials their imagination could dream up. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their understanding of cell structures but also allowed them to showcase their individuality and problem-solving skills.

6th Grade STEAM Update

In 6th Grade STEAM, students have been hard at work assembling and refining all the components of their robots. Each group has been learning the importance of teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail as they bring their designs to life. The excitement is building as students prepare for next week’s in-class competition, where they’ll put their robots to the test and see how well their creations function. This upcoming challenge will give them the chance to showcase both their creativity and engineering skills in a fun, hands-on way.
