7th Grade World History:
This week, we’re taking a deep dive into religion in Ancient Egypt, exploring how the beliefs in polytheism and monotheism both coexisted and conflicted within Egyptian society. Students are examining how this religious divide shaped culture, leadership, and daily life. To bring history to life, we’re watching The Prince of Egypt, which helps students visualize these dynamics and better understand the historical context of our lessons.
6th Grade Intro to Kinesiology:
This week in Intro to Kinesiology, we learned about the different types of muscles in the body and how they work together to create movement. Our main focus was on the muscles in the hand and how they allow us to perform everyday tasks. To bring this concept to life, students completed a hands-on project where they built a moveable paper hand using paper, straws, and string. By pulling the strings, students could see how muscles and tendons work together to make our hands move!
