Hello DMS Families,
WOW! Over 200 students earned the privilege of taking part in our 2nd Card Marking Period Honor Roll Breakfast. These students earned a "B" grade or better in all of their classes. We are very proud of all of our students who made this goal.
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! We want to give a BIG CHIEFTAINS SHOUT OUT to our DMS/ETS Esports Team for winning the National East Championship in the MSEL esports league. They were crowned the BEST over 180 Middle School Teams in the Eastern half of the United States. The "hardware" they earned will be added to our DMS Chieftains Trophy Case.
Our Wrestling Team really put on a clinic at their home invitational. The event was held at DUHS which included: Berrien Springs, Brandywine, Cassopolis, and White Pigeon Middle Schools. Our student-athletes performed to a "packed house" and didn't' disappoint!
Our girls 7th and 8th grade basketball teams have started their season and are showing their improvement after each game. They will be back in action with a home game on Monday, February 3 (4:00 pm) against Buchanan Middle School. We hope you will join us in supporting our team!
Mark your calendars. Wednesday, February 12th is "Count Day." We ask that you please be sure to send your child to school this day to assist us with our State funding. Thank you for your help with this.
